Hafiz Abdul Hamid Salifu
Salifu Abdul Hamid Hafiz is a dedicated author, researcher, and political analyst from Ghana with a strong focus on African politics, environmental governance, and social justice. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Political Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Political Science from the University of Ghana, which he completed from 2019 to 2023. His work often explores the intersection of geographic and climatic factors with governance, aiming to offer new perspectives on sustainable development in Africa. He has authored a book titled Geo-Environmental Political Adaptation and numerous academic papers on topics such as electoral reforms, minority rights, and democratic resilience. He also created the Geo-Environmental Political Adaptation (GEPA) theory, which argues that governance in Africa should be based on the continent's specific environmental and cultural realities rather than on Western models. He is a peer reviewer for the Journal of African Politics, Policy and Development. Salifu has diverse professional experience, including a role as a National Service Personnel at the Youth Employment Agency, where he coordinated and monitored youth employment initiatives. He also interned at the Forestry Commission in Kumasi, assisting with field surveys and conservation reports. From September 2024 to the present, he has been a Sawmill Manager and Personal Aid at Asembe Company Limited. He is the founder of the NGO Boys Against Drug Abuse And Its Related Social Vices (BADARS), which aims to reduce drug use among youth through public education. In 2023, he was the youngest aspirant to ever contest for the District Assembly office in the Denkyemuoso-Techiman Electoral Area.
